Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter (no substitutes) softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4-6 Hershey bars
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Directions:
  1. In a mixing bowl cream butter and brown sugar
  2. Add egg yolk and vanilla and mix well.
  3. Combine flour and salt and add to creamed mixture.
  4. Press mixture onto a greased 15"x10"x1" baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350℉ for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown
  6. Immediately place Hershey bar pieces all over the crust.
  7. Let stand for a few minutes so the chocolate melts.
  8. Spread the melted chocolate evenly on the crust.
  9. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts
NOTE: When spreading the mixture on to the baking sheet, spread as thin as possible, making sure it is even all the way around. I like my Scotch bars crispy. So the thinner the better. I love the crunch!
