Ingredients:
- 4 cups of powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup Crisco shortening
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/3 cup milk - scant
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
- Beat Crisco shortening and (butter or margarine) until light in color.
- Add cocoa and half of the powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix until creamy
- Add remaining powdered sugar and the milk one tablespoon at a time until desired spreading consistency.
- Spread some of the frosting on the cake to create a crumb barrier.
- I used a star piping tip to create a rose affect on the cake. It's much easier spreading this way and looks really pretty.
