Tammy's Stuffed Peppers

 Ingredients:

1 lb. hamburger
1 medium onion (chopped)
1 C. cooked rice (regular or minute rice)
1 C. marinara sauce (or the sauce of your choice)
1 C. shredded cheddar cheese plus a little more for the tops
2 large green peppers
Salt and Pepper to taste 
Seasonings of your choice

Directions:
  1. Fry hamburger and onion until browned. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Cook rice according to package directions.
  3. Mix hamburger, onion, cooked rice, marinara sauce and about a cup of cheddar cheese in a mixing bowl.
  4. Clean green peppers, cut in half and clean out seeds and veins.
  5. Place the meat mixture into the green pepper halves and place more cheese on top. You can also put a little more marinara sauce on before you add the cheese to the tops.
  6. Place green pepper halves into a square cake pan if making four.
  7. Pour a little water in the bottom of the pan, cover with foil and place into a 350° oven for about 40-45 minutes. If using an outside grill, place pan on grates and cook for about 40-45 minutes.
Note: This recipe can be doubled or tripled. Just adjust ingredients to the amount you are making.
